Isn't it such a bummer that life is so boring? I mean the world has some magic of course (nature especially) but I don't know, reality is too often very underwhelming in my opinion. "I was always in love with a side of reality that doesn't really exist" I relate to that a lot. And "in love" is a very good choice of words. I think as a kid it was easier because being in the clouds was more accepted, and other kids played along. It was easier to merge reality with my vision of the world. Now yeah... I'm bored (and also a bit sad, cause oof, most people are having a terrible time). The other day I zoned out in the middle of a conversation, nothing I could do about it. It was kind of a first for me. I never disconnected this fast, this far, but I was in the garden's of a medieval castle, so it wasn't my fault (maybe). I guess the disappointment is the downside of being able to dream up wonderful things.
