... and a way to get tiny bit into stationary, for those of us who ordinarily don't do that. I do have someone in my life to vibe with about that, and to borrow things from biggrin.

Ah stationary is such a great source of joy, I'm glad your tipping your toes into that world !

I'm decently enjoying Postcrossing so far smile. Happy to have a use for stickers and pens and stuff, I can ink the cards with the stamps we have for tourists to add something extra, it's a cool way to almost more physically "get in touch" with places, peoples and cultures, fun to pick out cards and topics you think the recipient will like and to receive that from others.

Hi friend. I just stumbled across your page and WOW! i absolutely adore the work you have put into the layout and aesthetics here! I also read thru your journal and was pleasantly surprised - it felt like reading my own thoughts. especially your entry about escapism in media. I find a lot of comfort in books, movies and TV shows, especially period pieces. for me, escapism comes in the form of immersing myself in the historically fictional goings-on of my favorite characters. I'm on a huge Downton Abbey kick right now. It's a show about an extremely wealthy 20th century family and their household maids and footmen. It deals with lots of subjects like politics, girlhood, fashion, war, family, etc. I really like it because there is a lot of emphasis on telling the stories of the staff members rather than just focusing on all the rich people. Maggie Smith is one of my all-time favorite actresses and she is in it! Anyways here I am rambling on. but you really should give it a watch if you haven't already. shows like this give me a much needed break from all of the insanity of the current time period/my life. I hope you know you aren't alone in your feelings about being alive, and whatever it means to be alive. I have experienced those same sentiments you wrote about and it is just so hard to work through. just know it's not impossible. keep immersing yourself in your interests, dreams and fantasies. this world is wide open for you.

You can't write something like that to me, I will cry and ruin my non-existent makeup! Thank you, really smile You know, I tried I think three times to watch Downton Abbey and for some strange reason, I never got past the opening credits. I believe that fiction has to find you at the right time, so maybe it wasn't time for Downton Abbey and me yet. But I know that someday I will start this show and completely fall in love with it ! Maybe once I'm done with the Realm of the Elderlings (though I don't like to think about such terrible horrific dreadful times) and I've cried all my tears for Fitz, I'll give it a shot ! Thank you for your kind words, like I said to someone who messaged me previously I'm amazed by the kind of connections I've made with people here. I usually feel so alone and even though I know my experience is not unique, it's easy to forget when it's so difficult to connect with people in real life. So again thank you, for taking the time. I will keep diving deep into dreams and fantasies, and I hope you do to, maybe it will make the real world a little better.

Oh, I should mention, one of the other sites in your Links (I do enjoy browsing these sections a lot) has led me to trying out Postcrossing smile. I'll see if I stick to it, as with any new hobby, but thank you smile!

I hadn’t checked my guestbook until now, so I hadn’t seen the message you left me. I really want to thank you, because your words reached me. I feel understood by you, since you know so well the feeling you described. I truly appreciate that you took the time to express yourself and remind me that I’m not the only one going through certain experiences. Your hopeful and positive tone lifted me a lot, and I share that perspective; that there’s still time for everything, and that one day I’ll probably miss things from now, like my dogs. I’m not sure how to send back the same positive energy you’ve given me, but I genuinely wish that things turn out the way you want, and that your path becomes clearer along the way. Wishing you lots of strength, and best of luck with your driver’s license!

You also aren't alone in not checking your guestbook, haha! It felt important to write to you, I'm glad you appreciated it. Just you writing back is more than enough, I'm really amazed by the kind of connection I've made on neocities since I joined, I didn't expect that, but it's really really nice! Let's share the positive energies then, and I hope things go well for you too smile Life is strange and not always nice but we can make each other's days better, even just a little. You made my day better at least ! Ah and I can't wait to be done with this driving things haha!!

Hello again, I hope everything is going well for you! I read your new diary entry and it's crazy how much I understand you. I don't know if it's some kind of coping mechanism, but as you say, it's SO satisfying to let yourself go completely in your fantasies, to get completely involved, especially using music as a means to amplify everything even more. For me, it's impossible to just “appreciate” something, like a book, for example. It has to really grab me internally, get me so emotionally and personally attached so that i feel it so real(and don't even get me started on listening to the same song or album for hours on end). It heartens me to know that I'm not the only one who feels things so intensely 🥺

Ninni 🥺 Most things are well and things that aren't, are out of my control, so I'm good I would say. I hope you are too ! Thank you for reading it. I found it so nice that we understand each other like that ! Can you believe ? Such a big world and somehow, with the internet we can find each other ? It amazes me ! It heartens me too. I talked about your answer to my message on your guestbook to my boyfriend the other day, I thought it was so nice haha But yes, yes and yes. That feeling is incredible ! It's like, I don't know, it's such a passion, a creative big bang in your head and everywhere. It's gut-wrenching, but ah, it makes you feel alive. It changed my life, actually, many times. I don't know how to explain to most people that I kept sobbing all day because I missed someone from a book and that the only thing that made me feel better was a song that made me cry more. Or that yes, I can't finish anything, but I will write a 20k (and counting) story about a character from a 2016 movie. Because for some strange reason a hand that does not exist just gripped my insides and now I can't do anything but think about it ? I'm sure you know what I mean. What are you latest grand loves ? I'm very curious. I don't listen to a lot of music lately, I had forgotten how potent it can be and the joy it is to have a song on repeat with the exact right feeling ! Have you read Jane Eyre ? I feel like Charlotte Brontë would relate, and you would probably like it (if you don't mind Rochester, I personally really don't but some people have better tastes in men haha). ANYWAY, I'm very bad with answering quickly but if you ever want to email, I think it would be nice : [email protected] (and I guess anyone who read this is welcome too)
